Bosses at the Lichfield Garrick are celebrating after the theatre scooped two business awards.

The venue hosted the annual Chamber of Trade and Commerce Awards – which also saw them school Best Entertainment/Arts Attraction in Lichfield for the third year running before winning the Best Overall Business award for the first time.

The awards were presented by General Sir Mike Jackson.

Adrian Jackson, Lichfield Garrick’s Artistic and Executive Director, said:

“The Chamber of Trade and Commerce Awards are so important to local and national businesses in Lichfield, and I was delighted that the Garrick won Best Entertainment/Arts Attraction for the third year running. The icing on the cake was definitely being presented with the Best Overall Business Award. This is a great achievement for the Garrick and is a real credit to the dedicated staff who work at the theatre. I am very proud of the team for their hard work and commitment, and I would like to thank everyone who voted for us, we are thrilled to have won.”

Residents and visitors to Lichfield cast their votes in April and May. More than 1,100 people voted, with more than 500 businesses receiving votes in the eleven categories.
