The duo accused of the murder of Michael Eccles are to appear in court to enter their pleas.
20-year old Carl Keatley and a 15-year old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Stafford Crown Court over the death in January.
Mr Eccles was on his way home from a shop to buy a bottle of wine when he was attacked. He died the following day from multiple injuries.
The father of five, who was a production manager at a local steel company, attracted hundreds of mourners to Lichfield Cathedral on 13th February for his funeral.
