Lichfield and Burntwood business are being urged to raise their profiles at a regional event.
Winning Business 2009 takes place on November 10 at Drayton Manor Park and is designed to help firms make contacts, generate new business and find out about new developments. Last year’s event attracted more than 700 local business people last year.
Councillor David Smith, Leader of Lichfield District Council, said:
“If you are a local business, don’t miss out on your chance to boost your business prospects at this year’s free Winning Business event. Last year’s event helped generate a staggering £200,000 of new business locally.

And, with top class speakers, 14 free seminars, and free business clinics, Winning Business 2009 is a must for any business looking to sharpen their competitive edge in today’s market.”
Cllr Bruce Boughton, Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, added:
“Whether you’re buying or selling, thinking locally can be beneficial for your business, the local economy and the climate.
“Think Local is a Staffordshire business initiative that encourages both the public sector and private companies to buy locally through www.think-local.biz. This year’s event will explore the benefits of thinking locally and encourage more and more local businesses to get involved.”
