The chairman of Lichfield District Council has paid tribute to former chief executive Nina Dawes OBE.
She retired from the post in December after 11 years in the role.
Current and former council chairmen gathered for a farewell dinner in her honour last week.
“The dinner was a chance to thank Nina for her dedicated service to the people of Lichfield District and to wish her a very happy retirement,” said Cllr Ken Humphreys.
“It was a unique and memorable evening, and an indication of the respect all the chairmen, past and present, have for Nina.”
