A LOCAL farming business has been boosted by a grant to help improve rural track maintenance.
Hollywell Farm Agricultural Ltd was awarded £9,800 by Lichfield District Council from the Rural England Prosperity Fund.
The money was used to purchase a heavy-duty road roller and trailer to help with the upkeep of tracks used daily agricultural vehicles, livestock operations and equestrian facilities.
Cllr Janice Silvester-Hall, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for visitor economy, ecology and climate change, said:
“It’s great to see how the fund is helping Hollywell Farm and other businesses in the Lichfield district.
“This investment is helping them to innovate, create new opportunities, improve the environment and contribute to the strength and diversity of our district’s rural communities.
“Rural businesses are a vital part of our local economy, and these grants are about helping them grow, create jobs and thrive.”

“We would like to thank Lichfield District Council and the fund for helping us with our road grading venture.
“They have supplied funding for a road roller to help us with the grading work we carry out on porous roads and farm and stable tracks. It’s going to be a great help to our business.”
