Two areas of Lichfield are set to bloom after new planters were approved.

Entrances to Fradley and Streethay will be given a green-fingered touch with a display of bedding plants.

The three tub planters will appear from June 2012 after getting the go-ahead from Fradley and Streethay Parish Council.

The Fradley flowers will be on Fradley Lane and at the top of Old Hall Lane, while the Streethay blooms will appear on the exit verge from the A38 and on the verge near Bullwell Trailers.

A spokesperson said: “The new planters will be part of the council’s celebration and commemoration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.”
