Two local pub restaurants are getting in the spirit of the Jubilee by ‘celebrating 60’ – giving everyone who turns 60 this year the chance to claim a free bottle of fizz and raise a toast to Her Majesty.
Chef & Brewer pubs, the Nags Head in Burntwood and Holly Bush in Little Hay, are offering anybody who was born in the year the Queen came to throne a free bottle of Prosecco on Friday 1 June, to celebrate the start of the Jubilee weekend.
Guests simply need to visit with a friend or relative, show valid photo ID and purchase two main meals to get the free bottle of Prosecco in honour of the Queen’s special celebration.
Susan Goldsbrough, general manager at the Nags Head, said: “The whole country is getting behind the Jubilee celebrations and we’re no different at Chef & Brewer. It will be a fantastic weekend to be British.
“We wanted to do something to help people kick off the weekend’s festivities and get people together to celebrate over a classic British meal so there seemed to be no better way than to recognise those people who have grown up throughout her reign. People turning 60 this year may not remember the coronation but they have more reason than most to celebrate the Queen’s big ‘six-zero’.”
