THE operator of the M6 Toll has backed a project supporting military veterans.
The Help A Squaddie scheme has been given help by the Midland Expressway Limited’s In The Community fund.
The money will help with plans for a Christmas party for veterans facing loneliness over the festive period.
Kerry Urquhart, CEO of the charity, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to M6 Toll and their In the Community scheme for generously funding our Christmas party and Christmas dinner for the veterans.
“This celebration will bring together veterans who otherwise wouldn’t see anyone over the Christmas period, giving them companionship, warmth and festive joy.”
Jo Brett, from M6 Toll, said:
“We’re delighted to support Help A Squaddie in their wonderful mission to bring festive cheer to veterans and their families.
“This project truly embodies the spirit of Christmas and reflects our heartfelt commitment to our local community, bringing people together and spreading joy where it matters most.”
