HAMMERWICH wrapped up their season with a fine 191-run victory at South Staffordshire County League Premier Division champions Fordhouses.
The hosts were sent in to the field as they looked to celebrate their title on their own turf.
It looked as though Fordhouses would continue the form that has seen them top the table as Tom Wright (6) was run out in the fifth over.
Callum Brodrick made 36 before he was caught by Daniel Linsky off the bowling of Keshan Wijerathne to leave the visitors on 87-2.
But Imran Qadir made 106 and Scott Elstone struck 137 to push the score along to 347-4 before they were both removed.
There was still time for Andy Malkin to make an unbeaten 42 from 27 balls as the Hammerwich innings closed on 353-4.
Fordhouses didn't panic though and looked in fine form before Mubeen Rashid (45) was caught by Malkin off the bowling of George Scrimshaw with the scoreboard on 86.
His replacement Muhammad Zaroob followed him back to the pavilion after scoring just three, while Matthew Gallear (6) also failed to last long in the middle as the hosts found themselves on 105-3.
When Niall Cooper was caught and bowled by Ryan Elliott after scoring 45 to leave Fordhouses on 125-4 it would prove to be the end of much of the resistance as the wickets tumbled.
The champions were eventually skittled out for 162.
John Jennings and Elliott were the pick of the Hammerwich bowlers with figures of 4-44 and 4-34 respectively.
The result means the Hammers finish sixth in the table.
