Historian Terry Deary is set to take Lichfield theatre audiences back to wartime 1940 in his new one-man show.

Blitz Roadshow sees the actor, singer and author threading the tales of humour and heartbreak through the story of his new novel Put Out The Light.

Terry has sold more than 25 million copies of his books in 40 languages. His most popular non-fiction books are the iconic Horrible Histories.

A spokesperson for the show said:

“The audience are invited to join in with some of the famous and the forgotten songs of the era, listen to fascinating facts from a master story-teller and then have a chance to put the author under fire with questions of their own.”

An Audience With Terry Deary will be at the Lichfield Garrick on May 8 at 2.30pm. Tickets cost from £10, and can be booked via www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the Box Office on 01543 412121.
