Visitors to a show in Lichfield will be able to learn the skills required to make a Christmas dinner with a difference.
Experts Simon Smith and Professor Roland Rotherham return with a festive edition of their Simmering Through The Ages historical cookery show at the Lichfield Garrick on December 6.
The duo will be creating Victorian venison medallions in port sauce, Regency cheese pastries from the court of Prinny, Edwardian appetizers of smoked salmon with horse-radish dressing and of the annual favourite of medieval mince pies.
Simon will guide the audience through the expert preparation, whilst Professor Rotherham puts it all into historical context.
Tickets cost £10 and can be booked from www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
