Women from Lichfield and Burntwood are being invited to find out more about ovarian cancer at an awareness talk.
Specialists from Good Hope Hospital will be discussing signs and symptoms, treatment options and causes at the event on May 16
Raj Saha, consultant gynaecologist, said:
“As with many cancers, the main risk factor for ovarian cancer is age. The risk of developing ovarian cancer is very low in young women and increases as women get older, particularly post 50. Greater awareness of this cancer can save lives, so I would encourage people to come along to the talk to find out more.”
