Increasing demand for fire and rescue services and the challenges of extreme weather will be among the topics discussed at a public meeting.
Staffordshire Commissioner Ben Adams will meet with Chief Fire Officer Rob Barber for the Fire Public Performance session today (10th May).
The meeting will be streamed online from 1pm.
Commissioner Adams said:
“These meetings give the public the chance to hear directly from their Chief Fire Officer about the work he is leading across Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to keep our communities safe.
“The work that modern fire and rescue services undertake continues to change – and the demands they face as a result of climate change and other challenges are more complex and varied than ever before.
“I’ll be talking to the Chief Fire Officer about how the service is adapting to meet those challenges, and would encourage people to follow the meeting online to find out more.”
