CHASETOWN Women wrapped up the league title in their debut season after a 6-1 win at Milton United.
The result means that with a game still to play, no other sides in the Staffordshire Women’s League Premier Division can catch Jo Sheerin’s Scholars.
They got off to a dream start after Katie Holmes settled the nerves with a strike after two minutes.
Chloe East-Goodman then doubled the advantage on ten minutes before Holmes added her second of the afternoon.
But Milton hit back when Macy Isherwood netted on the half-hour mark.
Chasetown were on the front foot once more a minute later though as Holmes wrapped up her hat-trick.
The goals kept coming before half time as Else Birkett made it 5-1.
The advantage meant the Scholars could ring the changes – and sub Ella Smith added the only goal of the second period late on to wrap up the victory and the title.
