LABOUR councillors are hosting an advice surgery in Burntwood this weekend.
They will be at Burntwood Library from 10am to 11am tomorrow (2nd May).
Cllr Steve Norman, Chase Terrace ward representative, said:
“Residents who rent privately are particularly welcome to attend the councillor surgery.
“Burntwood’s Labour representatives will be there, as usual, to help with any questions about the Renters’ Rights Act which has come into force. This gives private renters fairer protection from rogue landlords with ‘no-fault’ evictions ending in July.
“Lichfield District Council has also launched this year’s Councillor Community Fund whereby each district councillor can provide a grant of up to £300 to support small, community-focused projects in their ward. So, anyone wishing to set up a project can come along for more information.”
