WORK to install a new pedestrian crossing in Lichfield is set to begin next month.

Staffordshire County Council is also carrying out resurfacing works as part of the project which starts on 3rd February.

The work will see a lane closed on Friary Road from Mary Slater Road and around the Bowling Green island itself.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-May.
