Cllr Doug Pullen made his comments after a meeting with Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet support member for climate change and sustainability, Cllr Conor Wileman.

The duo discussed the challenges facing both authorities, as well as discussing their views on some of the key issues including air quality, carbon emissions and bio-diversity.

The meeting came after Staffordshire County Council declared a climate change emergency.

Cllr Pullen said: “The meeting was productive and we have agreed to converse regularly on how the two councils can work together to ensure maximum impact.”
