A Lichfield councillor admits she has her “work cut out” in order to keep the Liberal Democrat flag flying in the area.
Marion Bland was the sole highlight on a disappointing election night for the party in Lichfield.
Their parliamentary candidate Paul Ray finished fourth at the polls – and things weren’t much better in the local elections with Cllr Bland the only representative the Lib Dems have on Lichfield District Council and Lichfield City Council.
“I’m the sole Liberal Democrat on both councils so I’ve got my work cut out,” she said.
“I’ve been away after the election but now I’m back I am absolutely committed to dealing with casework from Chadsmead residents.”
