A brewery near Lichfield has toasted the Royal engagement with the launch of a new ale.
The Quartz brewery has named its latest tipple the William Wins-Her drink after launching a competition on its Twitter and Facebook profiles to celebrate the Prince’s forthcoming nuptials with Kate Middleton.
Winner Anna Hewitt, was one of hundreds of people who suggested names for the special edition beer and will receive a five litre mini cask of the beer, which is brewed at the company’s Kings Bromley headquarters.
Master brewer Julia Barnett said:
“It was a really tough decision to choose the winning name as we had some fantastic suggestions from both Facebook and Twitter. We were delighted with the level of response and the amount of thought people had put into their suggestions, considering they only had 24 hours to enter.”
