LICHFIELD Foodbank has been given a boost by a donation from a local business.

Staff at travel management firm Access Bookings raised more than £400 during a fundraising drive in December, with the company agreeing to match the figure.

The funds have been used to purchase essential food and care items to help local people in need.

Dena Hill, warehouse manager at Lichfield Foodbank, said:

“We can’t thank everyone at Access Bookings enough. Our stock levels really drop in January as everyone struggles that little bit more with post-Christmas bills, and this is an absolute lifeline to so many of our families and individuals.

“Support from local businesses is really appreciated.”

Lillybea Taylor, from Access Bookings, added:

“We’d like to thank our team for being so generous with their monetary donations.

“Every pound given has gone on to help those in need and we’re proud to be part of such a meaningful initiative in our local community.”
