A thanksgiving service for those who contribute to the economic life of the city is taking place in Lichfield Cathedral.
The annual Songs for the City event at 5.30pm on December 4 will feature the Cathedral Choir and well-known choirs.
The service is for those involved in the commercial, voluntary and official life of Lichfield and workers are encouraged to go along with their colleagues.
The Very Reverend Adrian Dorber, Dean of Lichfield, said: “The Cathedral wants to say thank you to all who make Lichfield a special place to live and work in.
“I hope that every sector of the city’s economic, voluntary and public life will come and join in this special celebration.
“It is open house for all the voluntary workers, retailers, shop workers, office workers and businesses, professional practices and local agencies who sustain Lichfield in so many ways.”
The service will be followed by mince pies and a non-alcoholic punch, served in the Cathedral crossing. Refreshments have been sponsored by Keelys Solicitors.
