UNDER-PRESSURE Lichfield City boss Matty Lovatt will be desperate to get a first win of the season when his team welcome Stalybridge Celtic this weekend.
The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side showed much-needed signs of promise in a narrow 3-2 loss at Chasetown on Bank Holiday Monday.
But the former Dudley Town manager will be under no illusions that his squad needs to start finding league points.
A miserable start to the season has left City bottom of the Northern Premier League West Division – the only side not to pick up any points so far this season after five defeats on the spin.
Lichfield have also seen themselves dumped unceremoniously out of both the FA Trophy and FA Cup in recent weeks.
Their opponents tomorrow (5th September) have collected seven points from their six outings and will be hoping another three can be collected from their visit to push them towards the upper reaches of the early season table.
