MANAGERLESS Lichfield City will hope their long-awaited first win of the season could spark a run of form as they return to action in midweek.
The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side picked up a first win of the campaign at the ninth time of asking as Dylan Thomas' penalty earn them a 1-0 win at Congleton Town last time out.
But despite that result getting Matty Lovatt off the mark as City boss, his departure from the club was confirmed just a day later after "an agreement could not be reached regarding the timescale for reviews of his tenure".
City will face a tough test as they look to build on collecting their first points when they head to Prescot Cables this evening (22nd September).
The hosts have been have yet to beaten in the league this season to find themselves fourth in the table.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
