A LICHFIELD construction business is enjoying a double celebration.
Walton Homes has clocked up 40 years by winning the LABC Developer of the Year and Midlands Property Investment Awards Residential Developer of The Year titles.
Directors Sarah and Amy Summerton – who are the second and third generations of the family-run housebuilder – hosted a 40th anniversary celebration for staff, partners and friends at Uttoxeter Racecourse.
Sarah said:
“My father, Ray Wallington, began our family business in 1984, building a legacy of excellence with a focus on quality, innovative design and customer satisfaction.
“I have been a part of the family business for more than 38 years working alongside my father, husband Andi and now my daughter Amy.
“While we have never set out to become a volume developer, we did set ourselves the target one year of 200 plots and we achieved it.”
Amy added:
“The way we live is constantly evolving and at Walton Homes we are keeping pace with these changes.
“We aim to create homes that grow with families and adapt to their ever-changing needs. We are committed to exploring the construction of new homes that minimise environmental impact while maximising energy efficiency.”
