The National Memorial Arboretum will be the next destination for a cycling initiative in Lichfield.

The Cycle Rides for All programme invites local riders of all ages to join them as they visit different areas across the region.

And on Sunday (June 2) they will be heading for the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas.

It follows the success of their last outing to Whittington which saw more than 50 riders get in the saddle.

“We’re all delighted that this year’s season of Cycle Rides for All is proving so popular,” said Cllr Ian Pritchard.

“We’ve got more Sunday rides coming up this season, which everyone is welcome to join for free.”

The 15-mile ride on Sunday will be guided by trained cycle leaders and there is no need to book. Cyclists need to turn up at Freedom Cycles, next to Lichfield Bus Station, at 10am.
