A Lichfield campaign group has appointed a new chairman.
The Lichfield Action Group (LAG) – which is campaigning against plans for high speed rail through the region – has made the change after founder Iain Sands announced he would be moving abroad.
New chairman Ian Wildy said:
“Iain started the group because he believed that HS2 has no business or environmental case and has no benefit for Lichfield or Staffordshire. His energy and enthusiasm will be missed but the group is determined to carry on its opposition to the principle of HS2.”
