Lichfield Library will mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic with two events.
This evening (April 3) at 7.30pm there will be a talk by the British Titanic Society on The Life of Captain Smith – a fascinating insight into the life of the ship’s commander and the story behind his statue in Beacon Park.
On April 12 at 7.30pm you can enjoy a presentation by the History Wardrobe Company and follow the famous dress designer Lady Lucy ‘Lucile’ Duff-Gordon during the traumatic events of that fateful night in April 1912.
Tickets for both events and are priced £5 and include refreshments.
