LICHFIELD’S men face Nuneaton in their latest fixture at Cooke Fields this weekend.
The Myrtle Greens will look to build on an impressive win over Banbury last time out.
The visitors this afternoon (31st January) are having a tough campaign with no victories to their name and hence they are stocking their line-up with both their main coaches – Huw Thomas and Elliott Brown – as well as some locally based Fijian talent.
Lichfield’s head coach Paul Hurst has a full squad to select from, as the 2nd XV has no game. However, he will be aware that wounded animals are dangerous and so won’t rotate his team very much, if at all.
Elsewhere, the women’s 1st XV make the long trek to Newcastle on Tyne to play Novos as they aim to stretch their five game winning run and possibly break into the league’s top four. Kick-off is at 2pm.
Tomorrow sees the women’s 2nds and Colts both at home to Aston Old Eds and Wolverhampton respectively.
