A Lichfield man has been named as a partner in a Midlands accountancy firm.

Ed Hill has been appointed by Baldwins to advise local SME’s on how to raise finance and manage cash flow problems.
Although common concerns for many businesses, Ed expects his knowledge of the regional markets will make an essential difference to businesses in the area. He explained:
“The Lichfield economy has its foundations in the owner-managed SME sector. Many businesses are now facing challenging situations and some face uncertain futures. Guiding those companies through the ever increasing burden of red tape and compliance is critical to helping this country recover.
“I understand the micro-economy of the region and believe if we work together to improve profitability, we can increase the chances of a brighter future and job security for many local businesses.
“Contrary to popular belief, raising finance is still achievable as long as business prospects are good. We can work with businesses to help them put together the best proposition for investors while assisting with cash flow projections designed to exhibit a positive light.”
Ed has almost 20 years experience dealing with local SME’s and looks forward to working closely with other Baldwins partners specialising in corporate finance, tax and banking advice to provide a comprehensive support and advisory service for local firms.
He added:
“I live in Lichfield and have a natural affinity to the area. Being located close-by means clients have the added advantage of not having to travel into city centres but have solid business support on hand for when it’s needed most.”
