Lichfield man takes up Midlands Co-operative Society role

The Midlands Co-operative Society has appointed a new financial planning and analysis manager.

Kevin Simpson joins from George Clothing at ASDA where he was commercial finance manager for George.com as well as having responsibility for supply chain and business strategy.

In his new role, Kevin heads up the Society’s team of commercial accountants and analysts and is responsible for providing analysis and support to the company’s trading businesses, which include retail food, fashion and home and funeral services.

He has previously held roles at Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u and started his career as a graduate accountant, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2004.

“Midlands Co-operative Society, with its diverse business operations and democratic values offers a unique set of opportunities and the start of a very exciting phase of my career,” he said.

“I am really looking forward to developing the commercial accounting team and being at the forefront of delivering the Society’s five year strategy.”
