Lichfield’s MP has apologised for swearing during a House of Commons debate.
Michael Fabricant had just listened to a question from pro-EU MP Jonathan Djanogly about possible dangers of leaving the European Union when microphones in the chamber heard him saying “b******s”.

But he later apologised to the Speaker for his choice of language.
“May I personally apologise for inadvertently, or through frustration, using an eight letter word beginning with B and ending in cks when a colleague of mine was raising yet another scare story about what a disaster it would be to leave the European Union.
“It was unseemly.”
