Lichfield’s MP says he is “heartbroken” after hearing the news of a Barton schoolgirl’s death in a minibus crash.
The 14-year-old was on a school art trip when the vehicle was involved in a crash with a bin lorry at 9am this morning (July 7).
Twenty other pupils and three teachers were also onboard, with one student taken to hospital with “superficial” injuries.
Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant was among those to share the news of the tragedy:
