LICHFIELD cyclist Sophie Capewell is among those named in the King’s New Year’s Honours.
The Olympic gold medal-winning rider will receive an MBE alongside her Team GB women’s team sprint colleagues Emma Finucane and Katy Marchant.
They are among ten Olympic and Paralympic cyclists to receive honours.
As well as her golden efforts in Paris in the summer, Sophie and the Team GB sprint team also claimed the title in the UCI Track World Championships in Denmark in October.
