Passengers in Lichfield are being reminded of further delays over the weekend as rail strikes continue.

Limited services, which will only run between 7.30am and 6.30pm, is expected on some routes tomorrow (25th June), while others will be without trains altogether.

Alex Warner, chair of the Grand Railway Collaboration, representing West Midlands train operators and Network Rail, said:

“I would like to thank passengers for their patience and understanding with the limited service which has been operating throughout this week.

“A very limited service will again be running on Saturday and I strongly urge passengers to only travel if their journey is necessary and to use other modes of transport wherever possible.”

Services on Sunday morning are also likely to start later than usual due to trains being in the incorrect locations due to the industrial action.

Normal timetables are expected to resume on Monday.

Passengers can check which services are running on the National Rail Enquiries website.
