A LICHFIELD independent restaurant is combining food with live entertainment for events this month.
Thyme Kitchen will follow up the success of its sell-out Mamma Mia Bottomless Night in August with a second running of the event at the Curborough Countryside Centre venue on 11th September.
It will see the restaurant transformed for an evening of ABBA-themed entertainment, with guests joining in with singing, dancing and fancy dress.
There will also be the chance to enjoy sharing-style Greek food, two hours of bottomless Prosecco or bottled beer and live entertainment from a Mamma Mia singing duo.
Later in the month, the atmosphere will take a rather more murderous turn when 'Murder Under the Big Top' arrives on 26th September.
The immersive murder mystery event begins with the arrival of the village’s new mayor, Mr Meaner, who is preparing to reveal his destructive and money-making plans for the local area - before being promptly shot dead.
Guests will spend the evening questioning an unusual collection of suspects, including circus performers Monty Zoomer and Claire Voyance, French teacher Fleur Timere, train driver Bernie Cole and Irish priest Father O’Dere.
The mystery unfolds throughout a three-course dinner, with diners following the clues and attempting to identify the murderer before the evening is over.
Themed cocktails will also be available and, in keeping with the Big Top setting, dressing up is encouraged.
The Mamma Mia event is £55 per person, with Murder Under the Big Top costing £52.
