Burntwood RUFC 2nds turned in their best performance of the season at home to Burton B XV, winning the contest 35-12.
As in previous weeks, they were out of the blocks quickly, none more so than winger James Wright who scored a hat trick of tries before the break.
Two conversions and two penalty goals by Brett Taylor gave the hosts a healthy 25 point lead going into the second half.
They remained on top after the turnaround but didn’t take all their chances and were outscored by the visitors.
A try each for Mitch Adams and Lewis Aston put Burntwood 35 points up but Burton hit back with two late tries and a conversion.
