Fair maidens of the classical music world are set to perform in Lichfield.
The Mediaeval Babes have generated a huge following and have seen three of their albums at the top of the classical charts.
But their current success is a long way from their unusual beginnings. A spokesperson explained:
“Mediaeval Baebes’ exquisite storybook opened its pages in 1996, when a group of friends broke into a North London cemetery and sang together, clad in flowing white gowns and crowns of ivy.”
The Mediaeval Baebes will be at the Lichfield Garrick on December 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £20 and can be booked from www.lichfieldgarrick.com, or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
