A LICHFIELD business is celebrating after scooping a national award.
Tippers landed the Community Initiative of the Year title at the Builders Merchants Awards in London.
The award recognises the commitment and dedication of Tippers branches and teams to support their local communities, charities, schools and clubs throughout the year.
The company’s ongoing partnerships with St Giles Hospice and Acorns Children’s Hospice were also highlighted as examples of its long-term support.
Speaking after the awards, Amy Tipper said:
“It’s fantastic to see Tippers recognised on a national level for the work our branches do to support the communities we’re part of.
“Our teams are regularly involved in local projects – donating materials, sponsoring children’s sports teams, hosting fundraising events and more. We don’t do this to win awards or as a tick-box exercise, it’s part of our ethos as a fifth-generation family business. Supporting our communities has always been an important pillar of our business.”
