A LICHFIELD councillor has published a "radical" book on Christian belief and practice.
Cllr Jeyan Anketell's new work – Christianity Unchained – was published on 14th August.
The former science teacher at Chasetown High School is also a self-supporting priest at St Michael's Church.
A spokesperson said:
"This book seeks to make sense of Christian belief and practice by stripping away the incorrect and irrelevant impediments that hinder meaningful participation in worship.
"These include beliefs such as the inerrancy of the Bible – whether in relation to God’s historical dealings with humanity or the divine demands placed on human belief and behaviour.
"The book also addresses problems associated with theories of the atonement and the Trinity."
