A Lichfield pub could be demolished to make way for new housing.
Developers have applied for planning permission to create three new properties on the site of The Anchor in Streethay.
The empty pub sits alongside the site of the new Miller Homes Roman Heights development.
But now plans have been drawn up to create three detached properties on the land occupied by The Anchor, which has been closed since 2015.
A statement supporting the application said: “The development proposes the demolition of the former pub on the site, with the proposed units appropriately designed within its residential area context.
“The development seeks to maximise the re-use of a previously developed site within the village of Streethay – a sustainable location which is on the urban edge of Lichfield city and close to existing services and facilities.
“It would create a high quality residential environment providing family housing in an attractive environment.”
