A new Lichfield dance class is giving people the chance to learn how to Lindy Hop.
The Dance With Me Henry classes will begin with a free launch night on April 28 from 7.30pm to 8pm at the Guildhall.
The event will include live performances from professional lindy hop dancers, a taster class and a live swing DJ playing.
“There will be tea in proper teacups, a fully stocked bar, a cupcake stall and vintage-inspired crafts on sale from some very talented local artists,” a spokesperson added. “There is no need to bring a partner, just some shoes to dance in, a smile on your face and a swing in your step.
“We are encouraging you to dress to impress too!”
There will be a chance to sign up to the weekly classes at the launch night. The beginners classes will be held at the Guildhall from 7pm 8pm on the following evenings and will cost £5 per person:
- May 2, 16 and 30
- June 6, 13 and 20
- July 4, 11 and 18
