They said: “We have set our sights on bringing great quality food back to the Bore Street pub, which previously had a major refurbishment and reopened under its current guise in August 2009.

“Since then many changes have taken place inside, but none as important as bringing the Food Hygiene Rating back up to exceptional standards – something the new kitchen team have concentrated on since taking the reigns.”

Despite the new flavour to the pub, music will still be high on the agenda with live bands appearing every Saturday.

The George IV will officialy reopen at 10am tomorrow (April 6), before Sam Garrett kicks an evening of festivities off with a live performance from 9pm.
