A NEW series of meditation classes is starting in Lichfield.

Run by Gen Dema, a Buddhist nun from Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre, they start on 10th September from 7.30pm to 8.45pm at Curborough Community Centre.

They will then run on the following Thursdays until 8th October.

A spokesperson said:

"Explore how meditation and practical Buddhist wisdom can help you develop inner peace, greater happiness and a calm and positive mind.

"In these classes we will learn how to release stress, anxiety and frustration, and maintain peace of mind throughout the day.

"We sit on chairs and the session includes two guided meditations and a talk. At the end there is time to chat and ask questions while enjoying refreshments.

"Each session is self-contained so you can join at any time."

Places cost £7 and can be booked online or paid in cash on the night.
