PLANS for a new home to built on land in Alrewas have been rejected.
The development at Navigation Wharf would have seen the construction of a three-bedroom residential property.
But officials at Lichfield District Council have refused to grant planning permission over concerns about how the development would impact on the Alrewas Conservation Area, along with issues relating to the potential impact on trees in the area.
Members of Alrewas Parish Council along with the Canal and River Trust also highlighted how the new property could have a visual impact on the area.
