Plans have been unveiled to convert an Armitage pub into a residential property.
The Grade II Spode Cottage, on Rugeley Road, would become a six-bedroom house if the proposals are approved.
A statement supporting the application said there would be no significant impact on the local landscape as a result of the plans.
“The site comprises of a former public house which has been vacant for a number of years,” the developers said. “The proposal is effectively converting the existing property into a dwelling with minimum changes internally and externally.
“The public house currently benefits from a car park located to the southern boundary of the building. This significant slab of tarmac will be removed and returned to a garden as it once was to the visual benefit of the locality.”
