PLANS to demolish a Chorley home and replace it with a new property have been drawn up.

The development is being proposed for the plot at Shute Hill Farm.

A planning statement said:

"It is proposed to demolish the existing dwelling and construct a replacement farmhouse dwelling and additional detached annexe.

"The replacement dwelling and annexe will sit largely on the footprint of the existing dwelling and outbuildings, replicating its current rectangular courtyard form.

"The access and existing areas of hard surfacing will be maintained, although the access itself will be widened.

"The proposals will retain much of the existing planting and landscaping across the site, in addition to putting forward a scheme of additional landscaping and ecological enhancements."
