PLANS to convert the ground floor of a former pub into residential accommodation have been rejected.
The proposals had been submitted to Lichfield District Council for the Black Horse Inn on Main Road in Edingale.
But the scheme has been rejected by planning chiefs.
In a decision notice, they said:
“The proposed development would result in the unjustified loss of a valued community facility, namely a public house.
“Insufficient evidence has been submitted to demonstrate that the facility is no longer viable or that it has been actively and realistically marketed for its existing or alternative community uses for a sustained period of time at an appropriate market value.”
Full details can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
