Police say they hope “shocking” footage of an elderly woman being hit by a van that then drove off will see witnesses come forward.
The incident happened near the Lichfield Garrick theatre on Castle Dyke at 10.30am on 25th February.
The woman in her eighties was hit by the white van – which did not stop after the crash – as she crossed the road.
The pedestrian was hospitalised with a serious ankle injury.
Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 217 of 25th February.
