Police have named a man who died when his car hit a tree in Alrewas.
Gregory Turner, of Blackwood Road, Tamworth, was driving on the A513, between Alrewas and Croxall when the incident happened at 11am on March 13.
The 48-year-old’s blue Audi TT left the road and collided with a tree.
In a statement his family said: “We would like to thank all those who tried to help Gregory at the scene and would ask that our privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the Audi before the collision, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 239 of March 13.
