LOCAL schools and nurseries are being asked to sign up for this year's Christmas Jumper Day to be in with a chance of winning a number of prizes.
The Save the Children event is being supported by toy firm Mattel, with Thomas the Tank Engine appointed as Chief Delivery Officer for the event.
Among the prizes on offer for schools that sign up is a trip for one class of students to Drayton Manor Park, while nurseries can win a day out with Thomas adventure.
Secondary schools can win an interactive STEM-focused workshop with a Mattel designer.
Kristina Arora, head of Christmas Jumper Day at Save the Children, said:
"With Thomas the Tank Engine coming on-board for the 2026 campaign we hope that more children than ever will sign up and take part.
"By launching an exclusive prize draw for anyone who signs up to Christmas Jumper Day this year, our incredible partner Mattel is helping us to bring communities together for the festive season.

Schools and nurseries can register by 1st December at ChristmasJumperDay.org to be in with a chance of winning.
